Yellows match report Vs Strathaven Dynamos 6/9/24

1st half
I certainly can’t fault the boys for effort. However, for majority of 1st half we struggled against a very good Strathaven team. Our pace of play was a little slow and we struggled to get the ball out of our half.

Strathaven were very quick and moved the ball extremely well.

Strathaven took the lead and added another before half time.

2nd half
We were an absolutely different team.
Couldn’t have asked for a better start when Cayden finished a quick counter attack with a great finish to get us 1 back.

Within 5 minutes Dylan made it 2-2 through sheer drive, determination and pressure to win the ball in their box and a lot it away!

From then on in we seemed to be firing in all cylinders and had a lot of chances!!

Patrick put us in the lead with a stunning strike from outside the box.

Strathaven managed to get a penalty - Leon made a great save, however Strathaven were first to the rebound to make it 3-3.

Overall, I thought this was a fantastic performance and really can’t fault any of the players - extremely unlucky not to win it - but still a decent result against very good team.

Well done to Dylan for MOTM - came on at half time and absolutely made the difference - brilliant performance.
